Get ready for a personal growth experience that extends well beyond the realm of
emotional eating.
The tools, strategies and perspectives you will be exposed to in our 4-
week Females, Food and Feelings course have the potential to improve the quality of your life by reducing your experience of stress and enhancing your sense of well-being.

You turn to food to soothe or comfort yourself when you feel sad, angry, frustrated, anxious, lonely or upset.
You abandon yourself and your self-care intentions by over-eating when you feel overwhelmed by your emotions.
Your cravings and eating behaviors feel out of control and you don’t understand why.
You are trying to better understand and find peace in your relationship with food and eating.
You are struggling with depression, anxiety and/or high level of stress that impacts your eating behavior.

Females, Food and Feelings is a a 4-Week live on-line course. We designed this course for women who:
- want to understand how they respond to stress and emotions;
- feel ready to break free from the cycle of emotional eating;
- are motivated to develop skills for navigating their emotional reactions;
- are inspired to build healthier relationships with food, eating, and their bodies; and
- want to connect with other like-minded women are on a journey of self-care

Females, Food and Feelings is a 4-week course which is being offered on four consecutive Tuesday evenings beginning Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Once you register, mark your calendars for November 12, November 19, November 26 and December 3.
Each class will run from 7-8:30 PM, including time for group conversation and Q&A.
If you can’t attend the class(es) live, you will automatically receive a recording of the session the following day.
Supporting materials will be provided in your online course portal.
Suggested weekly homework assignments will be offered in order to reinforce the material presented in each class.

Shari and Audrey will present information each week on different topics related to emotional eating. Shari will offer mindfulness, breathing and somatic (body-focused) practices related to each week’s theme. You will receive a recording of each class and will have access to written supporting materials in the course portal.
By the end of this 4-week course, you will be able to:
- Name some difficult or unpleasant emotions that trigger your eating behaviors.
- Understand how emotions and eating behaviors become connected in unhelpful patterns.
- Understand the concept of “sitting comfortably with discomfort."
- Feel more at ease in your relationship with food and eating.
- Learn ways to reduce stress by adjusting the balance between stressors and resources.
